Each year, Mental Health Americaof Dubuque County gathers the community together for a buffet dinner and silent auction event to support brain health and engage in much needed conversation about this important issue. MHA of Dubuque County directly addresses brain and mental health concerns by collaborating with community-based partners to provide programs, education, resources, support and advocacy.
This year’s theme for Mental Health month is “More Good Days, Together.”
This reflects the heart of our mission: helping people have more good days by meeting them where they are, supporting them as whole people, and understanding that “good” is defined by their unique experience and goals.
This year’s theme encourages us all to reflect on what a “good” day looks like, both for ourselves, and for our communities. Together, we can use that insight to connect people to the right support at the right time, and shape advocacy, education, and community engagement to make more good days possible for all.
The path may look different for everyone, but we all deserve more good days, together. Let us make May 14th a ‘good day, together”. We hope to see you there.
Would you consider helping us by offering a donation or an auction item? This event is our primary fundraiser for the year. Without support from friends like you, our advocacy for persons experiencing mental health challenges would be considerably limited. We are a 501(C) 3 agency, so your donation is tax deductible! Our tax-free number is: 42-0931292. Please complete the form on the following page, if interested.
Thank you, in advance, for your generous gift and support.
